Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience required.
• Experience in assembling and repairing mechanical seals.
• Understanding of HSE instructions and compliance.
• Lapping and polishing knowledge.
• A good technical knowledge of John Crane product portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Strip, inspect and assemble dry gas seals.
• Complete the grooving activities for repair.
• Prototype dry gas seals during testing.
• Assemble and repair mechanical seals and seal cartridges in accordance with John Crane drawings and specifications.
• Define and write strip and inspection reports.
• Complete the set up and test of different types/sizes of dry gas seals.
• Manual machining of components where required.
• Lapping, polishing and cleaning when necessary, following the set standard processes.
• Ensures quality & safety within functions/tasks performed by himself/herself and staff reporting to him/her.

Job Description

• Strip, inspect and assemble dry gas seals.
• Complete the grooving activities for repair.
• Dismantling and cleaning of seals and parts under repair.
• Assemble and repair mechanical seals and seal cartridges in accordance with John Crane drawings and specifications.
• Define and write strip and inspection reports.
• Complete the set up and test of different types/sizes of dry gas seals.
• Manual machining of components where required.
• Lapping, polishing and cleaning when necessary, following the set standard processes.
• Ensures quality & safety within functions/ tasks performed by himself/herself and staff reporting to him/her.
• Responsible for exercising due diligence towards health & safety of self and others within the organization.
• Ensures compliance with the applicable HSE instructions, requirements, laws and regulations received from customers, regulatory and statutory bodies.
• DGS assembly, testing, lapping and polishing processes.
• Coordinate with various department to ensure the execution of repair process.
• Quality control of DGS process.

Qualifications

• Diploma or University degree in Engineering or relevant vocational technical qualification.
• 3+ years of professional experience.
• ERP knowledge in SAP.
• Lapping and polishing knowledge.
• A good technical knowledge of John Crane product portfolio.
