Job summary

Musanadah in KAEC is seeking an HSE Officer to implement and maintain health, safety and environmental standards across site operations. You will drive a strong safety culture, ensure legal and client compliance, and minimise risks to people, assets and the environment.

Responsibilities include site inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, HSE plans, inductions, training, reporting, and emergency preparedness, with a focus on ISO 45001 compliance and measurable safety

Qualifications

• HSE knowledge of safety, health and environmental standards.
• Experience in facilities management, construction, or large-scale operations is preferred.
• Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits.

Role

The HSE Officer ensures that health, safety, and environmental standards are implemented and maintained across site operations. The role drives a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with legal and client requirements while minimising risks to people, assets, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and control hazards.
• Implement and monitor HSE plans, procedures, and permit-to-work systems on site.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identify root causes, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training for staff and subcontractors.
• Prepare HSE reports and statistics, and maintain accurate safety records.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness, including drills and response plans.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of HSE experience, preferably in facilities management, construction, or large-scale operations.
• A recognised HSE certification is required: NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA.
• Sound knowledge of local HSE regulations and international standards such as ISO 45001.
• Strong communication, reporting, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence safe behaviour on site.
