Job summary

Saipem is seeking an Offshore Methods Draftsman for the LTA Project in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on 2D drafting and basic 3D modeling using Tekla, with interface to Offshore Methods Engineers and other draftsmen to support installation activities.

Key tasks include ensuring QA/QC, preparing materials take-offs, signing documents, and updating drawings after interdisciplinary reviews. The position offers 12 months renewable rotation and offshore schedule. Start date as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• 15 years in Oil & Gas industries.
• Proven offshore installation project experience, esp. shallow water.
• Experience with mooring, pipelines, jackets, decks and related structures.
• Able to prepare and develop drawings and deliverables listed in project scope.

Responsibilities

• Perform 2D drafting tasks and simple 3D modeling within schedule and QA/QC requirements.
• Interface with other Draftsmen and report to Offshore Structural Project Specialist Lead, Engineers and Designers.
• Carry out simple 3D modeling tasks with Tekla or similar tools as requested.
• Prepare bill of materials or material take offs for requisitions.
• Ensure quality of documents and sign off; update documents after comments from other disciplines.

Job Description:

Mission

• Perform 2D drafting tasks and simple 3D modeling tasks assigned by the project within schedule and with due respect to Quality requirements related with design, verification, testing or study activities
• Interface with other Draftsmen and reports on a continuous basis to Offshore Structural Project Specialist Lead, Engineers and Designers

Tasks

The Draftsman executes the activities within his area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements.

Tasks include:

• Verify at any time that the input information used for the work assigned are keeping up with the project development and warn the Designers, Engineers or Structural Project Specialist Lead on any detected anomaly
• Carry out simple 3D modeling tasks with Tekla (or other similar 3D CAD tools, as requested)
• Carry out design drawings for installation sequences, operation equipment utilisation and vessels general layout
• Prepare bill of materials or material take off for requisitions
• Ensure the quality of documents he produces by a permanent and adequate self-check
• Sign the documents produced
• Inform all people concerned by the modifications resulting from the documents produced
• Ensure, when required, the verification of documents produced by other Draftsman of the team
• Update the documents produced after comments issued by other disciplines (inter-discipline checks) or external stakeholders on the project (Clients, Yards, Third parties review, etc.)
• Apply, during the work assigned, the relevant provisions of the Quality Control Procedure

What are we looking for?

Experience: 15 years within Oil and Gas Industrie

Requirements: The resource shall have proven experience in offshore installation projects, particularly in shallow water activities (S-Lay, jackets, decks, cables, and offshore structures). Experience shall include the preparation and development of the following drawings and deliverables:

• Anchor Pattern Drawings for the mooring of offshore installation vessels.
• Transportation and Installation Drawings for offshore pipelines.
• Transportation and Installation Drawings for offshore jackets, decks, bridges, and related structures.
• Transportation Layout Drawings for installation vessels and cargo barges.
• Transportation and Installation Drawings for piles, risers, J-tubes, sleepers, mattresses, and other subsea components.
• Drawings related to offshore subsea facilities, including pipelines, flexible products, and subsea structures.
• Offshore installation layouts, general arrangements, and method drawings supporting installation activities.
• Interface with Offshore Methods Engineers for the development and updating of installation drawings and procedures.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant offshore experience.
• Previous experience in shallow water installation projects is highly desirable.

Status: Single Status - CAMP

Duration: 12 months (Renewable)

Rotation: for Onshore 120/16 and for Offshore 90/30.

Working days/hours: for Onshore 10 hours per day and 6 days per week. For Offshore 12 hours per day and 7 days per week
