Job summary

NOV is seeking a capable Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites, inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, upgrade, refurbish and repair ARM/NOV equipment. You will respond to critical “Rig Down” events and perform fault finding across electrical, PLC, and drive systems.

Responsibilities include documentation, training customers on safe operation, and collaborating with global teams to improve performance and reliability of heavy machinery in demanding environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service of heavy machinery or automated systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Proven fault finding across electrical, mechanical, PLC, and drive systems.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites (onshore and offshore) to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, upgrade, refurbish, and repair ARM/NOV equipment and products.
• Respond to emergency rigs to restore equipment safely and quickly.
• Service, overhaul, inspect, and fault-find NOV rig equipment.
• Perform fault finding on electrical, PLC, AC/DC power systems, and VFDs.
• Execute field upgrades using current control protocols and approved revisions.
• Prepare and submit service reports, redline drawings, and parts lists in a timely manner.
• Provide operational analysis and field surveys with recommendations to improve equipment performance.
