Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Mechanical Technician for surface facility installations in Kuwait. The role covers maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting of oilfield equipment to ensure reliability, with onshore duties and a 12-month contract and a 6-month rotation.

Responsibilities include assembling, aligning and maintaining pumps, compressors and vessels; installing piping spools and valves per drawings and ASME standards; and ensuring asset integrity through precise mechanical work with

• BSc/Diploma in relevant discipline.
• 5 years of experience with Liquid Mud Plant equipment operations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, align and maintain surface facility equipment (pumps, compressors, vessels).
• Install piping spools, valves and supports per drawings and ASME standards.
• Perform shaft alignment, bolt tensioning and hydrotesting to ensure system integrity.
• Manage plant build-up with rigging and torque tools to keep assets ready.
• Repair and maintain Liquid Mud Plant equipment.

Location: Kuwait

Rotation / Work Schedule: 6 months working 15 days off (may vary as per business need)

Role-based (Office, Onshore, Offshore or Workshop): Onshore

Contract Duration: 12 months

Performs maintenance, inspection, repair, and troubleshooting of oilfield equipment and tools to ensure operational readiness and reliability. Supports field and workshop activities by diagnosing mechanical issues, maintaining asset integrity, and following Baker Hughes safety and quality procedures.

Essential Responsibilities: -

• A Mechanical Technician for surface facility installations performs the hands-on assembly, alignment, and maintenance of critical process equipment, including pumps, compressors, and pressure vessels.
• They are responsible for the precise installation of piping spools, valves, and structural support, ensuring all connections are leak-free and compliant with isometric drawings and ASME standards.
• By executing high-precision tasks such as shaft alignment, bolt tensioning, and hydrotesting, they guarantee the mechanical integrity of the facility's pressurized systems.
• Managing physical buildup of the plant, requiring expert use of specialized rigging and torque tools to ensure all static and rotating assets are mission ready.
• Liquid Mud Plant equipment repair and maintenance

Qualifications/Requirements: -

• BSc/Diploma in relevant discipline
• 5 Years of experience within Liquid Mud Plant equipment operations
