Batterjee Medical College in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia invites applications for a Faculty Member in Occupational Therapy to contribute to teaching, clinical education, research, and student development within the Occupational Therapy Program.

The successful candidate will deliver student‑centered education, strengthen clinical knowledge and professional competencies, and support accreditation, quality assurance, and community engagement through scholarly activity.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Occupational Therapy or a closely related discipline, per program requirements.
• PhD preferred.
• Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification where applicable.
• Previous higher education teaching experience in Occupational Therapy.
• Clinical experience in Occupational Therapy is highly desirable.
• Experience in research, scholarly publications, or curriculum development.
• Experience in clinical education, practical assessment, or student supervision.
• Proficiency in Blackboard and ExamSoft.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials in Occupational Therapy.
• Apply evidence-based, student-centered teaching methodologies.
• Integrate clinical knowledge into teaching activities.
• Develop and update course materials; prepare and evaluate assessments using Blackboard/ExamSoft.
• Maintain records of attendance, grades, and assessments.
• Provide academic advising and mentoring to students.
• Support students in developing clinical reasoning and professional communication.
• Conduct scholarly research and publish findings.
• Contribute to curriculum development and accreditation processes.
• Engage with community and healthcare partners for outreach.
