Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Occupational Therapy or a closely related discipline.
• PhD in Occupational Therapy or a relevant rehabilitation discipline is preferred.
• Valid professional classification or clinical licensure, including Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lectures, practical sessions, laboratory activities, case-based learning (CBL) and tutorials in Occupational Therapy and related subjects.
• Apply evidence-based, student-centred teaching methodologies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Integrate relevant clinical knowledge, professional practices and practical applications into teaching activities.
• Utilise Blackboard LMS and other educational technologies effectively.
• Develop and update course materials, teaching resources and learning activities in accordance with approved curricula.
• Prepare, administer and evaluate examinations, assignments and practical assessments using appropriate assessment methods and systems, including ExamSoft.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, assessments and academic performance.
• Prepare and submit course reports, assessment documentation and other required academic records.
• Provide academic advising, mentoring and professional guidance to students.
• Monitor student academic progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Support students in developing clinical reasoning, critical thinking, problem-solving and professional communication skills.
• Identify students requiring additional academic support and provide appropriate guidance.
• Promote professional ethics, patient-centred care and evidence-based Occupational Therapy practice.
• Conduct scholarly and applied research in Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Sciences or related healthcare disciplines.
• Publish research findings in recognised peer-reviewed journals and other scholarly publications.
• Participate in academic conferences, seminars, workshops and research activities.
• Contribute to the research culture and scholarly development of the program and College.
• Support student participation in research and scholarly activities.
• Participate in curriculum development, course review and continuous academic improvement.
• Contribute to course specifications, course reports, program reports and academic assessment activities.
• Support quality assurance, institutional accreditation and programme accreditation requirements.
• Ensure teaching and assessment practices comply with BMC academic policies and approved quality standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees and institutional activities.
• Participate in community service, rehabilitation awareness initiatives, workshops and professional outreach activities.
• Support collaboration with healthcare institutions, rehabilitation centres and relevant community organisations.
• Contribute to institutional initiatives that promote health awareness, accessibility and community well-being.
• Maintain professional conduct and positive working relationships with students, faculty and administrative staff.
• Participate in professional development activities and other assigned academic responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Arabic and English.
