Key Responsibilities
- Monitor enterprise telecommunications and IP networks for performance, availability, reliability, and service health.
- Analyze network metrics, system events, operational trends, and performance data to support capacity planning and service reporting.
- Prepare clear network performance updates, technical reports, and operational summaries for internal teams and stakeholders.
- Configure, monitor, and support TCP/IP‑based environments and related communication protocols.
- Use enterprise network management platforms to identify issues, troubleshoot faults, and improve operational visibility.
- Support integration, maintenance, and improvement of network monitoring tools and management solutions.
- Develop and maintain software applications using C, C++, Java, or similar programming languages where required.
- Build automation scripts using PERL, AWK, SED, Shell, or equivalent scripting technologies to improve network operations.
- Develop web‑based interfaces, dashboards, and reporting tools using HTML, CGI, ASP, or similar web technologies.
- Investigate network events, identify root causes, and recommend performance improvement or optimization actions.
- Assist with troubleshooting complex network, telecommunications, and systems issues during incident resolution.
- Support network upgrades, systems implementations, technology refresh activities, and operational enhancement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, configuration records, operational procedures, and support instructions.
- Collaborate with IT, systems engineering, telecommunications, cybersecurity, and project teams to deliver stable network services.
- Provide technical guidance to managers, project teams, and operational stakeholders on network‑related matters.
- Help identify opportunities to improve automation, monitoring accuracy, network resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Perform additional responsibilities related to network systems engineering as required.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in network engineering, systems engineering, telecommunications, or IT infrastructure support.
- Saudi national candidate (required for this role).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking principles, enterprise communication protocols, and network administration practices.
- Working knowledge of SNMP, ATM, Frame Relay, and enterprise networking concepts.
- Experience developing software using C, C++, Java, or comparable programming languages.
- Experience writing automation scripts using PERL, AWK, SED, Shell, or similar scripting tools.
- Hands‑on familiarity with enterprise network management, monitoring, and operational support tools.
- Familiarity with web development technologies such as HTML, CGI, ASP, or equivalent technologies.
- Knowledge of Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems, including Solaris or Windows Server environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting, documentation, and stakeholder support.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field (advantage).
- Experience with commercial telecommunications, enterprise IP networks, or mission‑critical infrastructure (preferred).
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as HP OpenView, Netcool, NerveCenter, or equivalent solutions (valuable).
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, JNCIA, or equivalent (considered an asset).
