Job summary

International Schools Group is seeking a dynamic Music & PSHE Teacher to join our diverse teaching team. You will deliver engaging and holistic learning experiences for SV students, creating a stimulating environment with provision both inside and outside the classroom.

The ideal candidate has a university degree in the subject, current teaching certification, and experience in similar programs, with strong English communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

  • University degree in the subject area of employment.
  • Certification should be from a recognised and nationally recognised institution.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the aims and targets of The National Curriculum in England.
  • Develop, evaluate and revise curriculum documentation and planning to support teaching and learning.
  • Deliver an active, hands-on and student-centred programme to promote learning.
  • Observe, monitor and record student progress.
  • Inspire children with enthusiasm and a love for learning.
  • Demonstrate creativity and a willingness to innovate.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changes, including virtual school/ distance learning.
  • Provide support to diverse student needs and abilities within the class.

Position Duties
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and security of children and young people

  • Plan and deliver lessons in accordance with the aims and targets of The National Curriculum in England
  • Develop evaluate and revise curriculum documentation and planning to support teaching and learning
  • Deliver an active hands-on and student-centred programme to promote learning and skills development
  • Develop defined enhanced provision areas in your classroom in line with continuous provision
  • Observe monitor and record student progress
  • Inspire children with enthusiasm and a love for learning

Qualifications and Knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • University degree in the subject area of employment.
  • Current teacher certification in the required subject area.
  • Certification should be from a recognised and nationally recognised institution.
  • Classroom teachers should be able to demonstrate relevant experience and certification in teaching similar school programs as the applied for position (preferred).
Experience and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience Prior experience as a Music teacher.
  • Prior experience with continuous provision.
  • Experience with Google Workspace.
  • Skills Ability to demonstrate a track record of continued professional development.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Good interpersonal skills in interacting with students, parents and colleagues.
  • Ability to supervise students in non-classroom settings.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to lead an after-school activity.
  • Empathetic and compassionate.
