Job summary

MBRF in Jeddah invites applications for a maintenance-focused role overseeing preventive, corrective, and scheduled upkeep of mechanical equipment. You will diagnose breakdowns, repair drives and production machinery, and ensure safe, compliant operations across the facility.

The position requires hands-on mechanical expertise, the ability to read engineering drawings, familiarity with SAP, and English proficiency. Based in Jeddah, relocation and factory commutes are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year technical/vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology or a related field preferably in the Food/FMCG industry
• Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical equipment, drives, lubrication, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings, with knowledge of relevant mechanical codes and standards
• Knowledge of food manufacturing, food safety and HSE practices, including HACCP, GMP and 5S
• Knowledge of SAP and MS Office, with familiarity with problem-solving tools such as RCA and PDCA
• Business-level English proficiency
• Based in Jeddah or willing to relocate to Jeddah, with flexibility to commute to the factory location

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and scheduled maintenance to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of mechanical equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including motors, drives and production equipment
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes and take actions to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance
• Inspect equipment, identify maintenance needs and support overhaul, preventive maintenance and spare-part planning
• Record equipment issues, maintenance activities and work orders accurately in SAP
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, suppliers and OEMs on repairs, technical issues and continuous improvement activities
• Support improvement initiatives using tools such as RCA and contribute to solutions for recurring technical issues
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE, food safety, HACCP, GMP, 5S, Food Defense and company safety standards
