Job summary

MBRF Global Foods Company S.A. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Jeddah to repair, refurbish, and maintain machinery used in food production.

You will operate lathe, milling, drilling, grinding, and band saw equipment while following strict HSE, GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards. The role requires a technical diploma in mechanical trade and at least 3 years of hands-on experience in machine shop tasks, welding (arc, gas, TIG), and mechanical maintenance.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma in mechanical trade or welding required.
• Min 3 years in machine shop and mechanical maintenance.
• Hands-on arc, gas and TIG welding experience.
• Based in Jeddah or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repair and refurbishment of machinery.
• Operate lathe, milling, shaper, drill press, grinders and band saw.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance per established standards and procedures.
• Read engineering drawings, P&IDs, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.
• Support equipment reliability and maintenance activities with the Maintenance team.
• Ensure proper workshop housekeeping and compliance with HSE, GMP, 5S, HACCP and food safety requirements.

What will you be doing at MBRF?

• Perform mechanical repair, refurbishment, modification, welding and fabrication activities for machinery and equipment
• Operate machine shop equipment such as lathe, milling machine, shaper, planer, drill press, grinders and band saw
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to established maintenance standards and procedures
• Inspect and maintain workshop equipment, special tools and spare equipment in good working condition
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings
• Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability activities together with the Maintenance team
• Ensure proper workshop housekeeping and comply with HSE, GMP, 5S, HACCP and food safety requirements

What kind of profile are we looking for?

• Technical diploma/certificate in Mechanical Trade, Turning, Welding or a related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in machine shop, welding and mechanical maintenance activities, preferably within Food/FMCG or a similar industrial environment
• Hands-on experience in arc welding, gas welding and argon/TIG welding
• Experience operating lathe, milling, drilling, grinding and other machine shop equipment
• Knowledge of mechanical components, drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and lubrication
• Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
• Basic knowledge of SAP and MS Office is an advantage
• Based in Jeddah or willing to relocate
