Job summary

ABIS is seeking a QC Inspector - Mechanical to perform inspection and testing of mechanical equipment installation activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards. The role requires 5–8 years of experience on mechanical installation projects, a Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, and preferred QC/inspection certification.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience as a QC Inspector on mechanical equipment installation projects.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• QC/inspection certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on mechanical equipment installation works (pumps, vessels, packages, structural skids).
• Verify equipment installation, alignment, and grouting against approved drawings and vendor specifications.
• Witness mechanical running tests, alignment checks, and equipment box-up activities per the ITP.
• Verify materials and equipment against material certificates, vendor data, and specifications.
• Record inspection results and raise Non-Conformance Reports as required.
• Coordinate hold points and inspections with client/third-party inspectors.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and daily QC reports.
• Verify calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.
• Support punch-list generation and verification of closure for mechanical works.
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and mechanical equipment standards.
• Support preparation of quality documentation for mechanical handover dossiers.
