Job summary

KEO Group seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead site inspections, review drawings, and ensure conformance with international codes. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex projects and contribute to on-site safety and quality control.

The role requires strong knowledge of MEP practices, coordination with contractors, and the ability to report on-site findings with clarity and urgency.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to inspection-related tasks and verify contractor work against drawings and specifications.
  • Inspect installation of electrical components within precast elements.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of MEP techniques, procedures, and international codes and standards.
  • Demonstrate experience across the mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Review shop drawings against contract drawings, specifications, local codes and international best practice.
  • Report non-conformances and coordinate with stakeholders for corrective action.
  • Monitor site safety, health, and environmental compliance in line with QCS specifications.
  • Maintain daily site activity records and progress photos for inspections.
  • Prepare surveillance reports for deficiencies and NCRs as required.
  • Ensure coordination between disciplines and provide technical input to resolve issues on site.

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Attending to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
  • Inspecting the installation of electrical components such as conduits, wiring, and outlets within precast elements.
  • Demonstrating knowledge in MEP l techniques, procedures, and in all relevant international codes and standards.
  • Demonstrating experience and capability in all aspects of the mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
  • Report any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholders for appropriate action.
  • Monitor quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring compliance with contractual / QCS specifications and safety and health risk assessments.
  • Maintain records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
  • Prepare surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site and non conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
  • Check and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other disciplines.
  • Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.
Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 10 years' career experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
