Job summary

KEO International invites applications for a senior mechanical/electrical engineer role in Riyadh. The candidate will oversee inspection requests, review shop drawings, and ensure compliance with international codes and standards on major projects.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience and a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Hybrid working arrangements and learning sponsorships are part of the package.

Qualifications

  • Must have 10+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Experience in MEP disciplines and site coordination is required.
  • Strong knowledge of international codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Attend to inspection requests from contractors and take timely action.
  • Inspect electrical components and installations in precast elements.
  • Review shop drawings against contract drawings and local/intl codes.
  • Ensure on-site safety, QA/QC, and environmental compliance.
  • Maintain daily site records and produce NCRs when needed.

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Attending to Inspection Requests (IR's) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
  • Inspecting the installation of electrical components such as conduits, wiring, and outlets within precast elements.
  • Demonstrating knowledge in MEP l techniques, procedures, and in all relevant international codes and standards.
  • Demonstrating experience and capability in all aspects of the mechanical engineering discipline.
  • Review submitted shop drawings against contract drawings and specifications, local codes and statutory requirements and international best practice.
  • Report any works carried out by contractor found to not be in accordance with approved drawing and specifications and report to stakeholdersfor appropriate action.
  • Monitor quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuringcompliance withcontractual / QCS specifications andsafety and health risk assessments.
  • Maintain records for daily activities on site including progress photos and ensure they are readily available for inspection as and when required.
  • Prepare surveillance report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site andnon conformance reports (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
  • Check and ensure effective co-ordination between discipline related works and all other disciplines.
  • Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.
Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 10 years' career experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor Degree in a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.
