Materials & Warehouse Lead
Role Summary
The Materials & Warehouse Lead is responsible for the overall management of warehouse operations, inventory control, materials logistics, preservation, storage and distribution activities to support project execution. The role ensures efficient handling of materials, compliance with company procedures, safety standards and timely delivery of materials to project sites, fabrication yards, offshore facilities and vessels.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all warehouse and materials management activities, including receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, issuing, returns, transfers, reconciliation and dispatch of project materials.
- Manage daily warehouse and laydown yard operations, ensuring proper material identification, traceability, preservation, housekeeping, storage-location assignment and compliance with manufacturer recommendations.
- Maintain accurate, real‑time inventory records and prepare material status reports, stock reports, reconciliation records and delivery updates for relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and control Free Issue Materials (FIM), project-owned inventory, surplus stock, shortages, excess inventory and slow‑moving materials, recommending appropriate inventory optimization measures.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts, cycle counts, stock verification exercises and audits to ensure inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate material requirements and availability with project, procurement, logistics, operations, suppliers, contractors and client teams to support project schedules.
- Review and process material requisitions, monitor delivery schedules and support procurement and supply chain activities to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Plan and supervise loading, unloading, packing, material handling, load-outs and dispatch activities, including cargo movements to offshore vessels, barges, fabrication yards and project sites.
- Coordinate road, sea and air transportation with freight forwarders, customs agents, suppliers and contractors, while supporting import/export documentation and customs-clearance requirements.
- Optimize warehouse space, material-handling equipment, manpower and operational resources to meet project requirements safely and efficiently.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise warehouse personnel, coordinators, and storekeepers by setting performance objectives and promoting accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence, while maintaining a hands‑on approach and working on the ground as operationally required.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, statutory regulations and HSE standards, including MSDS control, safe lifting, handling, transportation and storage practices, incident investigation and maintaining a zero‑incident workplace culture.
Education & Qualifications
- Diploma in AutoCAD. Knowledge in Microstation is added advantage
- At least 4 years of experience in Projects for similar scope.
- Good communication skills. Shall be fluent in English and shall be able to understand requirements of the Installation team.

Responsibilities
