Job description

TANMIAH Foods Company (TFC), part of Al Dabbagh Group, is a leading manufacturer and distributor in the food and agriculture sector, established in 1962. TFC aims to expand its international presence while enhancing its logistics network and product offerings. Join us where innovation, growth, and sustainability drive your career forward in the food and agriculture industry.

Primary Job Purpose

To manage and execute maintenance purchasing activities for ADC, ensuring that technically compliant equipment, spare parts, services and maintenance contracts are sourced and delivered at the required quality, cost and lead time to support operational reliability.

The role translates maintenance and engineering requirements into effective sourcing and contracting actions, develops capable suppliers, drives procurement savings and commercial improvements, manages critical and emergency requirements, and ensures disciplined purchase-to-pay, import and procurement compliance. The role also provides day-to-day leadership to the maintenance purchasing activity while remaining personally engaged in complex, high-value, urgent and commercially sensitive procurement cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute maintenance procurement insights to the Head of Procurement by identifying supply-market developments, critical-source dependencies, cost trends and supplier risks that may affect ADC’s operational continuity, maintenance economics or long-term procurement priorities.
  • Support procurement value creation by identifying category-level opportunities for standardization, localization, supplier consolidation, alternative sourcing and total-cost improvement across maintenance-related spend.
  • Functional Planning
  • Develop the annual maintenance purchasing plan in alignment with approved maintenance schedules, shutdown plans, preventive-maintenance requirements, anticipated equipment needs and procurement priorities, ensuring sufficient lead time for critical and imported items.
  • Establish category and sourcing priorities based on spend, criticality, lead time, supplier availability, historical consumption and operational risk, with clear sourcing timelines and escalation points.
  • Plan procurement workload and resource deployment across routine, project-based and emergency requirements, ensuring appropriate prioritization without compromising governance or control requirements.
  • Functional Management
  • Category & sourcing management: Manage maintenance-related sourcing across equipment, spare parts, technical services and maintenance contracts, using appropriate competitive sourcing, market benchmarking and commercial evaluation methods based on value, risk and technical complexity.
  • Supplier management: Develop and maintain a fit-for-purpose supplier base; lead supplier qualification from a commercial perspective, monitor supplier capacity and performance, address recurring delivery or quality concerns, and develop alternative sources for critical requirements in coordination with technical stakeholders.
  • Commercial negotiation & value delivery: Lead negotiations on price, payment and credit terms, Incoterms, delivery schedules, warranties, service levels, bulk discounts and other commercial conditions to improve total cost of ownership while protecting quality, availability and business continuity.
  • Contract management: Coordinate the commercial development, renewal and administration of maintenance contracts and framework agreements, ensuring clearly defined scope, pricing, service levels, warranties, validity periods, obligations and escalation provisions in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Procurement governance & compliance: Ensure maintenance purchasing activities comply with approved procurement policies, delegated authorities, SOPs and applicable requirements including ISO, SASO, Saudi Customs and relevant import controls; maintain appropriate segregation of duties and procurement documentation.
  • Operational Management
  • End-to-end procurement execution: Oversee and, where required, directly manage end-to-end procurement of maintenance equipment, spare parts and related services supporting Poultry Processing Plants, Farms, Feed Mills and Hatcheries, from approved requirement and sourcing through commercial evaluation, purchase order/contract placement, delivery follow-up and purchase-to-pay closure.
  • Maintenance continuity & emergency procurement: Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement support for emergency breakdown requirements, preventive maintenance and planned maintenance activities, balancing operational urgency, equipment criticality, cost, quality and continuity of operations.
  • Technical-commercial coordination: Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering and end users to clarify specifications, validate scope and approved alternatives, resolve technical-commercial queries and prevent delays caused by incomplete or ambiguous requirements, without assuming ownership of technical acceptance.
  • Purchase-to-pay coordination: Coordinate with Finance, Stores, Logistics, Customs, Quality and other relevant functions to resolve purchase-order, receipt, invoice, payment and closure issues and ensure timely completion of the purchase-to-pay cycle.
  • Import & logistics documentation: Coordinate procurement-related requirements for imported materials, including supplier shipping documents, product-registration follow-up, Incoterms, letters of credit, insurance/claim requests and customs documentation, working with the accountable Finance, Logistics and Customs functions.
  • Performance control & reporting: Monitor procurement performance including compliance, PO accuracy, PO cycle time, supplier lead time, vendor availability, supplier defects, price competitiveness, savings and open-order status; investigate material variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Records & system discipline: Ensure purchase orders, quotations, bid evaluations, approvals, contracts, supplier correspondence and supporting documents are accurately maintained in SAP/ERP and procurement records to support control, auditability and management reporting.
  • Leadership / People Management
  • Develop colleague capability through coaching, on-the-job guidance and knowledge sharing in technical procurement, negotiation, supplier management, ERP usage and procurement controls.
  • Monitor individual and collective performance, provide timely feedback, address capability or execution gaps and support continuity of critical procurement knowledge.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Build effective working relationships with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Stores, Logistics, Customs, Quality and other internal stakeholders to anticipate requirements, resolve procurement constraints and support reliable maintenance execution.
  • Maintain professional relationships with suppliers, original equipment manufacturers, authorized distributors, service providers and contractors to strengthen market access, responsiveness, commercial competitiveness and continuity of supply.
  • Escalate significant supplier, commercial, contractual, compliance or supply-continuity risks to the Head of Procurement with clear analysis and recommended actions.
  • Ensure procurement decisions for maintenance equipment, spare parts and services consider applicable HSE, quality and technical requirements, and do not compromise approved safety or compliance standards for cost or speed.
