Job summary

Almarai is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function within a large-scale Poultry Processing Plant in the Ha'il region, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on ensuring reliability, availability, and performance of processing equipment while guiding maintenance strategies and the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics or related engineering.
• 8–10 years in engineering/maintenance, ideally poultry/food processing or FMCG manufacturing.
• 5+ years managerial experience leading engineering and maintenance teams.
• Strong experience with automated processing equipment, preventive maintenance, reliability, and engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of PLC-controlled equipment, automation, conveyors, packaging systems, and processing machinery.
• Proven experience reducing equipment downtime and improving plant performance.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, planning, and team-management skills.
• Direct poultry processing plant experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering activities comply with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Quality standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop engineering and maintenance teams.
• Work closely with Production and Quality teams to support plant performance and production targets.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function within a large-scale Poultry Processing Plant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of processing equipment, while leading maintenance strategies, engineering projects, continuous improvement, and the engineering team.

• Minimum 8–10 years of engineering/maintenance experience, ideally within poultry, meat, food processing, or FMCG manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience leading engineering and maintenance teams.
• Strong experience with automated processing equipment, production lines, preventive maintenance, reliability, and engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of PLC-controlled equipment, automation, conveyors, packaging systems, and processing machinery is preferred.
• Proven experience in reducing equipment downtime and improving plant performance.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, planning, and team-management skills.
• Direct poultry processing plant experience will be highly preferred.
