Job summary

Napco National is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in line with diagrams, manuals, and manufacturer specifications. You will inspect, troubleshoot, dismantle devices to repair parts, and replace faulty components such as bearings, chains, belts, and pneumatic and hydraulic parts using the appropriate tools.

You will perform routine maintenance per schedules, calibrate according to plan, log daily activities, and support 5S

• Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment per diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer specifications.
• Inspects and troubleshoots problems.
• Dismantles devices to repair defective parts.
• Reports work done, remarks and parts used on repair forms.
• Checks bearing condition and other wear and tear.
• Replaces faulty mechanical components (bearings, chains, belts, pneumatic and hydraulic components) using proper tools.
• Performs and implements routine maintenance programs using appropriate tools and references.
• Carry out calibration based on the calibration schedule.
• Logs daily activities.

• Carry out, implement and maintain the 5S culture.
• Ensures that health & safety requirements are implemented throughout the plant; that employee health is adequately safeguarded from industrial hazards.

Authorities

• Prepares & issues a needed spare parts voucher.
• Initiates & recommends modification or replacement of components & equipment which fail to meet acceptable operating standards.
• May direct, assist & train new or lower level technicians.
