Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics, macroeconomics, public finance, development economics, or a related field.
• Arabic is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support macroeconomic and fiscal analysis initiatives and structural reform assessments in Egypt.
• Prepare background papers and recommendations on economic policy.
• Contribute to policy dialogue and capacity strengthening for Egyptian partner entities.

Senior Non-Key Expert – Macroeconomic Reform

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the proposal preparation of the EU-funded project called: “Egypt Downtown Facility.”

The overall objective of this assignment is to enhance the effectiveness, coherence and visibility of the Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership between the European Union and the Arab Republic of Egypt by providing rapid, flexible and high-quality technical assistance in support of jointly agreed bilateral cooperation priorities. This objective will contribute to strengthened policy dialogue, improved programme implementation and reinforced institutional capacities of Egyptian partner entities involved in EU-funded actions.

In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Senior Non-Key Expert – Macroeconomic Reform to support technical assistance assignments related to macroeconomic and fiscal analysis, structural reforms, economic resilience, competitiveness, and evidence-based economic policy development in Egypt.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in economics, macroeconomics, public finance, development economics, or a related field.
• Arabic is highly desirable.

Professional Experience

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience analysing macroeconomic, fiscal and structural reform policies.
• Experience preparing economic assessments, policy analyses, background papers and recommendations.
• Good understanding of economic resilience, competitiveness and reform programmes.
• Knowledge of Egypt’s economic and reform context highly desirable.
