Job summary

Faena The Red Sea, part of Ennismore’s Faena brand, is seeking an accomplished Sous Chef to lead the culinary team and translate Faena’s artistry into flawless dining experiences in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will work with the Chef de Cuisine to uphold Forbes Five-Star standards, mentor cooks, and drive creative menus.

This leadership role requires hands-on supervision, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to quality, safety, and cost control in a high-volume luxury environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive culinary experience, with leadership in luxury settings.
• Experience managing high-volume, multi-outlet kitchen operations.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
• Experience with food cost control and labor management.
• ServSafe or equivalent certification required.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily kitchen operations to ensure quality and timely service.
• Oversees stations and production areas with adherence to recipes and portions.
• Conducts daily line checks for readiness and product quality.
• Supports menu development and seasonal updates with senior leadership.
• Maintains compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Leads and mentors culinary staff to uphold brand values.
• Controls food and labor costs through scheduling and purchasing.
• Maintains inventory accuracy and monitors stock levels.
• Represents Faena’s culinary excellence in tastings and events.
