Job summary

Confidential Government in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Logistics Controller to support daily transportation operations and Control Tower activities, coordinating with drivers, transporters, and internal teams.

You will monitor shipments, track status, prepare reports, and help improve on-time delivery while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics.
• 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, fleet operations, or Control Tower operations preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Basic knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Willingness to work shifts if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily transportation and delivery operations through the Control Tower.
• Track trucks, shipments, and delivery status.
• Coordinate with drivers, transporters, customers, and internal teams.
• Follow up on delayed shipments and resolve operational issues.
• Update shipment status and transportation records in the system.
• Monitor vehicle movement, loading, unloading, and delivery schedules.
• Prepare daily transportation and delivery reports.
• Report delays, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, or other operational issues.
• Support route planning and truck allocation when required.
• Ensure POD and transportation documents are collected and maintained.
• Monitor transporter and driver performance against KPIs.
• Support the team in improving on-time delivery and transportation efficiency.
• Follow company safety and transportation procedures.

Job Purpose

Support daily transportation operations and Control Tower activities by monitoring shipments, coordinating with drivers and transporters, tracking delivery performance, and ensuring timely movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor daily transportation and delivery operations through the Control Tower.


• Track trucks, shipments, and delivery status.


• Coordinate with drivers, transporters, customers, and internal teams.


• Follow up on delayed shipments and resolve operational issues.


• Update shipment status and transportation records in the system.


• Monitor vehicle movement, loading, unloading, and delivery schedules.


• Prepare daily transportation and delivery reports.


• Report delays, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, or other operational issues.


• Support route planning and truck allocation when required.


• Ensure Proof of Delivery (POD) and transportation documents are collected and properly maintained.


• Monitor transporter and driver performance against agreed KPIs.


• Support the team in improving on-time delivery and transportation efficiency.


• Follow company safety and transportation procedures.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
