Job summary

Supermicro is seeking an experienced Logistics & IOR/EOR Manager - Server Hardware to oversee end-to-end logistics operations for high-value server hardware in the Middle East region, with a primary focus on Saudi Arabia and Dubai.

• Proven experience as IOR/EOR in the Middle East, with an understanding of Saudi Arabia and UAE import/export laws.
• Demonstrated ability to manage depot operations and inventory control.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills with excellent communication in English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

• Logistics & Depot Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of server hardware depots in Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
• IOR/EOR Compliance: Manage importer of record and exporter of record processes for shipments in the Middle East, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Shipping & Handling: Plan and execute international shipments and coordinate with global logistics partners to optimize routes and costs.
• Special Certifications & Regulatory Approvals: Obtain and maintain permits, licenses, and certifications for IT server hardware imports/exports.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with global logistics teams, service operations, and customers to ensure timely delivery and installation.
• Risk & Issue Management: Proactively address shipment delays, customs holds, and compliance issues; maintain contingency plans.

We are seeking an experienced Logistics & IOR/EOR Manager - Server Hardware to oversee the end-to-end logistics operations for high-value server hardware in the Middle East region, with a primary focus on Saudi Arabia and Dubai. This role involves managing regional hardware depot locations, coordinating all shipping and handling activities, ensuring compliance with local import/export regulations, and obtaining the required special certifications for the movement of IT infrastructure into restricted or regulated markets.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Logistics & Depot Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of server hardware depot locations in Saudi Arabia and Dubai.
  • Coordinate receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution of hardware to customers and service teams.
• IOR/EOR Compliance:
  • Experience with Importer of Record and Exporter of Record for shipments into and out of the Middle East.
  • Ensure compliance with local customs regulations, trade laws, and licensing requirements.
  • Manage all required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
• Shipping & Handling:
  • Plan and execute international shipping operations for high-value and sensitive IT equipment.
  • Work with global logistics partners to optimize freight routes, timelines, and cost efficiency.
  • Handle special shipping requirements such as temperature-controlled or shock-protected packaging.
• Special Certifications & Regulatory Approvals:
  • Obtain and maintain relevant permits, licenses, and certifications to import/export IT server hardware into Saudi Arabia and UAE.
  • Coordinate with government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance.
• Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Collaborate with global logistics teams, service operations, and customers to ensure timely delivery and installation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all import/export matters in the region.
• Risk & Issue Management:
  • Proactively address shipment delays, customs holds, and compliance issues.
  • Maintain contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted hardware supply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or import/export management, preferably in IT or server hardware.
• Proven experience as IOR/EOR in the Middle East, with a strong understanding of Saudi Arabia and UAE import/export laws.
• Demonstrated ability to manage depot operations and inventory control.
• Familiarity with freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and shipping documentation.
• Experience obtaining special licenses and certifications for restricted or high-tech equipment.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Saudi Arabian ZATCA customs system and UAE’s Dubai Trade/DP World portals.
• Experience in handling sensitive IT hardware shipments with compliance to HS codes and dual-use regulations.
• Certification in International Trade Compliance, Logistics Management, or related fields.
