Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) in Saudi Arabia seeks a Lifting Engineer to support heavy lifting operations as part of our industrial maintenance teams. This role focuses on developing lifting plans, selecting equipment, and coordinating with contractors to ensure safe, compliant lifts.

The candidate will lead toolbox talks, oversee rigging crews, and ensure safe, efficient operations with proper resources and training. Travel internationally may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas maintenance – Diploma.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Oil & Gas maintenance – Degree.
• Must have 3rd party certified lifting and rigging qualification
• Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of Oil & Gas Facilities
• Proven leadership skills with large organizations
• Willingness to travel internationally and live in KSA

Responsibilities

• Lifting Plans & Method Statements
• Develop detailed lifting plans for cranes, hoists, winches, or specialized lifting gear.
• Choose suitable lifting equipment (slings, shackles, spreader beams, cranes) based on load, geometry, and environment.
• Coordinate and manage contractors’ heavy equipment
• Oversee rigging crews during complex or critical lifts.
• Lead toolbox talks and lifting safety briefings.
• Proactive Safety aptitude and behavior
• Ensure that personnel have the skills, training and all needed resources, equipment’s and tools to conduct routine maintenance activities in safe and effectively manner, according to the contract terms and conditions.
