Job summary

ASSYSTEM is seeking a Senior Structural Engineering Leader in Saudi Arabia to head the structural engineering discipline across multi-disciplinary projects. You will lead the team, allocate work, mentor engineers, and ensure adherence to design standards and safety requirements.

The role includes directing analysis, modelling, and design development for structures, coordinating with other disciplines and supporting construction phase activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• 12–15 years of relevant structural engineering design experience.
• Strong experience in structural design of buildings and infrastructure.
• Demonstrable experience leading structural engineering teams.
• Professional Registration with Saudi Council of Engineers or equivalent is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural engineering team across projects, allocating activities and mentoring engineers and designers.
• Provide technical direction and ensure standards, engineering principles, and practices are followed.
• Oversee development of structural designs for buildings and infrastructure from concept through construction support.
• Coordinate design with architecture, MEP, civil, geotechnical and other disciplines and manage interfaces.
• Lead technical discussions and resolve complex structural engineering issues and ensure design quality and safety.

1 Structural Engineering Discipline Leadership

• Lead the structural engineering team across assigned projects
• Allocate structural engineering activities to engineers senior engineers and structural designers based on project priorities workload and competence
• Provide technical direction mentoring and support to structural engineering team members

QualificationsEssential

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized university.
• 12 15 years of relevant structural engineering design experience.
• Strong experience in structural design of buildings and infrastructure.
• Demonstrable experience leading structural engineering teams.
• Significant experience with multidisciplinary engineering consultancy or design organizations.
• Strong experience in concept, preliminary, schematic, detailed design, tender documentation, and construction support.
• Strong experience in structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete and/or structural steel systems.
• Experience with large-scale and complex projects.
• Experience coordinating structural design with architectural, MEP, civil, geotechnical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Experience with Saudi Arabian projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of structural design codes and engineering standards.
• Demonstrable experience in technical review, checking, and design assurance.
• Professional Registration Valid or eligible professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent international professional registration is advantageous.
• Membership of recognized professional engineering institutions is advantageous.
