Job summary

JASARA Program Management Company is seeking a senior structural engineer to lead the design development for large-scale residential projects in Saudi Arabia. You will oversee concept through construction support, coordinating with architecture, MEP, and external consultants to ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code and international standards.

The role requires extensive knowledge of performance-based design, strong leadership, and the ability to deliver designs within schedule and budget

Qualifications

• Proficient in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD Pro).
• Strong knowledge of Saudi Building Code and international standards.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design development for residential projects from concept to construction support.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

Lead the structural design development for residential projects from concept through detailed design and construction support Manage and review the work of external design consultants and engineering partners Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code international design standards and project-specific requirements Coordinate structural design activities with architecture MEP infrastructure and other disciplines Review and approve structural calculations drawings specifications and technical submissions Identify design risks and implement mitigation measures to support project delivery Monitor design progress against project schedules and budgets Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams and junior engineers Support value engineering initiatives without compromising quality safety or performance Participate in design reviews workshops stakeholder meetings and technical presentations Provide construction-phase support including RFI responses design clarifications and site issue resolution

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of structural design software such as ETABS SAFE SAP2000 STAAD Pro and similar tools Thorough understanding of Saudi and international design codes and standards Experience managing multidisciplinary design coordination Excellent stakeholder management and consultant management skills Strong commercial awareness and value engineering experience

Preferred Experience

Large-scale residential master-planned communities Mega and giga projects in Saudi Arabia or the GCC Design management within developer organizations Experience interfacing with authorities and regulatory bodies Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred).Professional Engineering registration or chartership preferred (PE, CEng, ICE, or equivalent).Minimum 15 years of experience in structural design and engineering.At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing large residential or mixed-use developments.Strong experience with reinforced concrete, steel structures, high-rise residential buildings, and residential communities.Experience working with major developers, engineering consultancies, or giga projects is highly desirable.
