Job summary

Abunayyan Holding in Riyadh seeks a senior lead for fabrication operations to direct a team of production engineers across welding, fabrication and assembly for oil & gas projects. You will translate drawings into executable plans, schedule activities and optimize resources to meet tight deadlines.

The role requires 8+ years in Aramco-tier environments, expertise in WPS, ASME/API/ AWS codes, and a strong track record in Lean, HSE and root-cause analysis.

  • 8+ years in a world-class / Aramco-tier fabrication environment
  • Expertise in digital engineering / production systems and WCM / Lean methodologies
  • Proven delivery against KPIs — first-time-right quality, productivity and zero-incident performance

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise the work of production engineers across fabrication areas
  • Mentor and develop junior production engineers
  • Translate drawings and specifications into executable job packs and cutting/fit-up plans
  • Plan and sequence production activities to meet schedule and optimize resources
  • Ensure welding and fabrication follow approved WPS/PQR and Aramco/ASME/API/AWS codes
  • Prepare and review method statements, ITPs and technical calculations
  • Monitor progress, productivity and rework and resolve technical execution issues
  • Investigate non-conformities and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Interface with QC on inspection stages, NDT and dimensional control
  • Support man-hour estimation and material take-off for planning and costing
  • Enforce HSE requirements and safe execution methods
  • Drive 5S, Lean and continuous improvement on production lines
  • Report technical progress and issues to the Production Manager
  • Any additional duties assigned within the scope of the role

Job description

Lead a team of production engineers and coordinate the technical execution of fabrication, welding and assembly works for oil & gas, petrochemical and water-treatment packages, ensuring compliance with drawings, WPS, Aramco and international codes, and driving productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of production engineers across fabrication areas.
  • Mentor and develop junior production engineers.

3- Code & WPS Compliance:
  • Ensure welding and fabrication follow approved WPS/PQR and Aramco/ASME/API/AWS codes.

4- Progress Monitoring & Technical Problem Resolution:
  • Monitor progress, productivity and rework and resolve technical execution issues.
  • Investigate non-conformities and implement corrective/preventive actions.
5- QC & Inspection Interface:
  • Interface with QC on inspection stages, NDT and dimensional control.
  • Support man-hour estimation and material take-off for planning and costing.
7- HSE Enforcement:
  • Enforce HSE requirements and safe execution methods.
  • Drive 5S, Lean and continuous improvement on production lines.
  • Report technical progress and issues to the Production Manager.
  • Any additional duties assigned within the scope of the role.
Necessary Knowledge and Experience:
  • Minimum of 8 years in a world-class / Aramco-tier fabrication environment, including complex / critical projects.
  • Expertise in digital engineering / production systems and WCM / Lean methodologies.
  • Proven delivery against KPIs — first-time-right quality, productivity and zero-incident performance.
Education and Certification Minimum Requirements:
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering; Master's preferred.
  • CSWIP / AWS-CWI, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and NEBOSH are mandatory; PMP preferred.
  • Team leadership & mentoring.
  • Code & specification compliance.
  • Advanced problem-solving & root-cause analysis.
  • Certified in HSE (NEBOSH/IOSH) & safe systems of work.
