Job summary

Hitachi ABB Power Grids in Saudi Arabia seeks Senior I&C Engineer to lead installation, commissioning and fault elimination for GIS HV systems worldwide. You will represent PG with clients at installation sites, adhere to deadlines, and uphold safety and QA standards.

The role requires a bachelor in electrical eng, 2-5 years GIS experience, SF6 handling, and fluency in English and Arabic. The company operates globally with a focus on safe, reliable electrification.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
2–5 years of GIS experience preferred.
Experience with SF6 gas handling.
Knowledge of GIS and HV products preferred.
Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written) required.

Responsibilities

Install, commission, and ensure safe operation of high voltage GIS projects.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with installation requirements and safety guidelines for live components.
Red-mark drawings/documents for changes during installation.
Identify risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
Coordinate with sub-suppliers installation superintendents for scheduling.
Collaborate with PG Project Manager to update status of work.
Inspect arriving materials for damage and coordinate handling.
Issue non-conformance reports for damage or missing equipment.
Supervise final installation and commissioning tests and documentation.
Participate in site meetings and coordinate loop checks.
Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations.
