Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Saudi Arabia seeks a Safety Inspector to oversee field safety on road and infrastructure projects, conducting daily HSE inspections, ensuring compliance with safety plans and regulations. You will monitor risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, PPE usage, and incident investigations.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering or Occupational Safety, 10+ years HSE experience, and certifications like NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years HSE experience in road or infrastructure projects.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA certifications preferred.
• Strong hazard identification and reporting skills.
• Good communication and safety leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily HSE inspections of road projects, work zones and equipment.
• Monitor risk assessments, method statements and permit-to-work systems.
• Ensure workers use proper PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Identify hazards and unsafe practices; issue corrective actions and follow up.
• Verify compliance with traffic management measures and safe movement of vehicles/machinery.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions.
• Participate in incident/near-miss investigations.
• Maintain safety logs, daily reports and audit documentation.
• Support emergency preparedness and drills.
