Job summary

Excis is seeking a Database Team Lead – Oracle & SQL Server in Saudi Arabia to lead and administer enterprise-grade database environments. You will oversee Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and SQL Server Always On, while guiding DBAs, ensuring performance, security, and high availability.

You will drive RCA, capacity planning, upgrades, and migrations, with cloud experience across Azure, AWS, or OCI. A strong leadership mindset and senior problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of enterprise database administration experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c/21c.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Replication.
• Experience with SQL Server Always On, clustering, and replication.
• Advanced database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, and/or OCI.
• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and database scripting.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and SSMS.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee enterprise Oracle and SQL Server environments.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to database admins.
• Establish DB administration standards and best practices.
• Review configurations, changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex database issues.
• Lead RCA activities and incident management for P1/P2 issues.
• Coordinate upgrades, migrations, patching, and technology refreshes.
• Support capacity planning and infrastructure optimization.
• Ensure changes follow change-management procedures.
• Document backup, recovery, HA/DR, security, and runbooks.
