Job summary
Excis is seeking a seasoned Database Team Lead to oversee Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server environments, including RAC, Data Guard, and Always On. You will be the technical escalation point for critical incidents, guide upgrades, and drive capacity planning and automation across enterprise databases.
The role demands 8+ years in enterprise DB administration, strong leadership, and expertise across on‑premise and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/OCI).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of enterprise database administration experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c/21c.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Extensive experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and Replication.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, and/or OCI.
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, and database scripting.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee enterprise Oracle and SQL Server environments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to database administrators.
- Establish database administration standards and best practices.
- Review configurations, changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex database issues.
