Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation seeks a Line Maintenance Lead to supervise and execute aircraft maintenance, including IFE systems, across line stations. You will coordinate technical tasks, ensure compliance, and mentor station staff in a high-demand environment.

The role requires a valid GACA license, 6+ years in maintenance, strong leadership, and the ability to work rotating shifts. Travel and regulatory adherence are essential parts of the job.

Qualifications

  • Secondary/high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid aircraft maintenance license (GACA) for A/C systems.
  • Minimum of six years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least three years exercising certification privileges as RTS staff.
  • Experience managing, supervising, and leading a team.
  • IFE experience is considered an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand wiring diagrams and other technical documentation.
  • Ability to follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations and data from which answers can be obtained to rectify defects and restore system functionality.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and coach subordinates.
  • Exhibit supervisory skill and ability to lead staff and coordinate shift activity.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-stress, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook (MS products).
  • Use professional concepts while applying company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  • Ability to Read, Write and Speak English easily and accurately.
  • Must have the legal right to work in assigned country through nationality, visa or work permits.
  • Ability to pass extensive security and background checks.
  • May require both international and domestic travel, up to 25% of time, to other line station locations to provide relief from time to time as required.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to meet the requirements of the airport authority for access and vehicle operation on their premises.
  • Required to work a rotating shift roster that spans 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team and certify line maintenance, including IFE, during transit checks in accordance with contractual obligations and Panasonic procedures.
  • Maintenance tasks include component replacement, inspections, functional tests and certificating.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft systems to identify repairs and replace LRUs as needed.
  • Remove and replace LRUs in accordance with reference documentation.
  • Perform Cabin Sweeps, Built-in Test, and assist with software and media loading.
  • Complete aircraft documentation to meet QA standards.
  • Coordinate between customer and Panasonic divisions to monitor system performance against contractual levels.
  • Promote PAC Safety Management System (SMS) culture.
  • May work on other aircraft equipment as trained and authorized.
  • Communicate with customers and ensure resources are available to meet obligations.
