Responsibilities

• Reviews inquiry files to ensure that complete information is available
• provides direction and advice as to proposal preparation
• sets targets for completion and follows up activities to ensure satisfactory progress
• Critically analyzes all draft proposals in relation to the text
• costing
• commercial details
• and compliance with client specifications
• internal and external technical and quality standards
• Liaises with the Engineering
• Sales and other departments
• also with subcontractors
• vendors
• and clients to obtain the input required to produce the optimum proposal
• Keeps abreast of developments in the technology
• process
• and the market
• shares knowledge with other engineers
• contributes to the overall departmental objectives
• Participates in technical meetings with the client
• vendors
• and sub-contractors as required
• performs any other duties related to his area of expertise
