Job summary

Bank of Jordan is seeking an experienced IT leader to oversee operations across its Saudi branches, ensuring alignment with IT strategy and regulatory requirements. The role involves driving the implementation of IT plans, managing the primary data center and disaster recovery, and ensuring continuous, secure, and efficient banking technology services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Strong knowledge of operating systems, network infrastructure, and enterprise IT environments.
Strong knowledge of banking systems and payment platforms.
Knowledge of database management and supporting programming languages.
Good understanding of risks associated with electronic banking services and technology operations.
Knowledge of applicable banking regulations, regulatory requirements, and relevant legal frameworks.
Experience in budget planning and management.

Responsibilities

Oversee IT operations across the Bank’s Saudi branches, aligning with IT strategy and regulatory requirements.
Lead and supervise IT team, set objectives, monitor performance, and support development.
Evaluate IT systems, hardware, services, and vendors with financial assessments.
Manage data backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery across locations.
Ensure security, confidentiality, and protection measures across systems and networks.
Coordinate with Head Office IT and CEO – Saudi Branches on strategy and budgets.
Review incidents and reports, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure operations comply with policies, controls, and delegated authorities.
Monitor availability and performance of information systems, networks, and platforms.
