Internship/CO-OP Program– Global Sports Management Consulting

Portas Consulting is the leading senior advisory firm dedicated to sport. We serve sports clients globally on major events and competitions, governments on their sport policy, sports bodies on projects transforming lives in local communities. Now with four major hubs, we continue to grow our business through our tailored and pragmatic advice.

Working with governments, sports bodies, investors and partner organisations, Portas provides independent advice to boards and senior executives on their most critical, urgent and complex challenges. We combine unrivalled expertise in sport and physical activity with blue chip management consulting credentials, always with a deep understanding of the uniqueness of each assignment.

We have exciting opportunities for a small number of Interns to join our team based in Riyadh. Our intern program is 6 months with the opportunity to be offered a permanent role depending upon performance. A full on-boarding program will be provided, and you will have the opportunity to develop core consulting skills, as well as developing a deep understanding of the sports sector.

Our work is varied across our seven practice areas of Football, Investment, Federations, Events, Public Sector, Active Places and Women & Sport. Our projects within these practices are wide and varied, spanning strategy, organisation, governance and project management. Recent examples include

  • Creating a holistic transformation plan for a national football league to compete globally
  • Developing a business plan for new sports businesses
  • Developing a product roadmap for a football club to maximize and diversify revenue streams
  • Developing strategies to support the growth of motor sports, then evaluating social and economic impact
  • Developing a strategy to maximise participation of women in sports

The main responsibilities are but not limited to:
