1. Technical Expertise in High Performance Sports Planning
- Proven experience in developing and implementing high performancestrategies for national sports organizations.
- Knowledge of best practices and success models from leading sportsnations, such as the UK, Australia, and the USA.
- Experience with models such as the FTEM (Foundation, Talent, Elite,Mastery) and WITTW (What It Takes to Win) to guide long-term athletedevelopment and performance optimization.
- Experience in forecasting and achieving Olympic, Asian and internationalcompetition success.
2. Athlete Development and Pathway Management
- Expertise in designing and managing athlete development pathways fromgrassroots to elite levels, using frameworks like FTEM to ensure structuredprogression.
- Knowledge of talent identification, progression metrics, and holistic athletesupport programs.
- Experience in implementing Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD)models.
3. High Performance Support Systems
- Deep understanding of sports science, medicine, nutrition, andperformance analysis.
- Ability to integrate scientific and medical support into athlete training andcompetition strategies.
- Experience with the latest sports technology and data analytics tools toenhance performance.
4. Coaching and Technical Leadership
- Extensive experience in coaching education and professional development.
- Proven track record of working with elite coaches and technical directors.
- Ability to enhance coaching methodologies and improve athleteperformance outcomes.
5. Strategic and Operational Planning
- Strong background in strategic planning and execution within a highperformance sports context.
- Ability to develop comprehensive business plans, including resourceallocation, budgeting, and KPI setting.
- Experience in managing large-scale sports projects and leading cross-functional teams.
6. International Competition Strategy
- Expertise in developing competition strategies that optimize performancein high-stakes environments.
- Knowledge of international competition schedules, qualification processes,and strategic planning for major events.
- Experience in preparing teams and athletes for Olympic and WorldChampionship events.
7. Funding and Resource Translation
- Proven ability to translate performance observations and strategic needsinto clear funding requirements.
- Experience in preparing detailed budget proposals and justifications basedon strategic plans and performance data.
- Knowledge of securing and managing funding from government sources,private sponsorships, and other funding bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive performance analyses and benchmarking studies usingthe WITTW model.
- Develop detailed business plans for each of the 12 podium potential sports,integrating FTEM components.
- Design athlete development frameworks and support systems.
- Integrate high performance support services into training and competition plans.
- Collaborate with SOPC, national federations, and other stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and iterative improvements to ensurealignment with strategic goals.
