Job summary

SOO STUDIO DESIGN seeks an on-site Interior Designer in Jeddah to develop creative design concepts for residential and commercial spaces. You will prepare mood boards, layouts, and 3D visualizations while coordinating FF&E within project budgets.

The role involves producing and reviewing construction drawings, translating design intent on-site, and liaising with architects, contractors, and suppliers through the project lifecycle. A strong portfolio and local building knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong interior design and space planning skills for functional, visually appealing layouts.
• Knowledge of architecture principles and collaboration with architectural/engineering teams.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing construction drawings with site coordination.
• Experience with FF&E selection, specification and coordination including materials and furnishings.
• Advanced proficiency in design/visualization software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max, etc.).
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Role Description

The Interior Designer at SOO STUDIO DESIGN will work full time on-site in Jeddah, collaborating with project teams to develop creative, functional, and aesthetic design concepts for residential and commercial spaces. Responsibilities include preparing mood boards, layouts, and 3D visualizations, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) in line with project requirements and budgets. The role involves creating and reviewing construction drawings, ensuring design intent is accurately translated on-site, and liaising with architects, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle. The Interior Designer will participate in client meetings, present design proposals, incorporate feedback, and support project management activities such as scheduling, cost awareness, and quality control. The position requires staying current with design trends, local building codes, and sustainability best practices to enhance the studio’s design standards.

Qualifications

• Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to create functional and visually appealing layouts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design concepts clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a studio environment.
• Familiarity with local building regulations, construction processes, and sustainable design practices is an advantage.
• Relevant portfolio demonstrating interior design projects, space planning, and technical drawing skills.
