Job summary

SHADES in the Riyadh region is seeking a full-time Interior Designer to develop design concepts, create mood boards, and translate client requirements into functional, visually cohesive interiors.

You will handle space planning, sketches and technical drawings, materials and finishes, and FF&E coordination while collaborating with architects, contractors and vendors and attending site visits to ensure design intent and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong interior design and space planning skills to create functional, balanced layouts aligned with project goals.
• Knowledge of architecture drawings to prepare buildable design documentation and coordinate with project teams.
• Expertise in FF&E selection to curate cohesive, high-quality design solutions.

Role Description

This full-time Interior Designer role is on-site and based in the Riyadh Region. The Interior Designer will develop design concepts, create mood boards, and translate client requirements into functional and visually cohesive interior solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, preparing sketches and technical drawings, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating FF&E specifications. The role involves collaborating with architects, contractors, and vendors, attending site visits, and monitoring progress to ensure design intent and quality standards are met. The Interior Designer will also participate in client presentations, support project documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of studio design processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills to create functional, balanced layouts aligned with project goals.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Architecture and Construction Drawings to develop detailed, buildable design documentation and coordinate with project teams.
• Candidates should possess expertise in FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) selection to curate cohesive, high-quality, and cost-effective design solutions.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, 3D MAX , Adobe Creative Suite or similar) to communicate concepts effectively.
• Candidates should possess strong communication, collaboration, and client-facing skills to manage feedback, present ideas, and work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; prior interior design experience in retail, office, or hospitality projects is preferred.
• Attention to detail, time management, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with local building materials, and suppliers in the Riyadh Region is an advantage.
