Job summary

Qualifications

• Interior design expertise in space planning, concept development, materials, and furniture/lighting.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools.
• Experience in project management: scheduling, budgeting, contractor coordination, on-site oversight.
• Strong client-facing skills: communicating, presenting, translating needs into design.
• Leadership and collaboration: mentoring juniors and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• Experience leading interior projects in commercial, residential, or hospitality sectors.
• Knowledge of local building codes, sustainability, and QA.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Role Description

The Lead Interior Designer will oversee end-to-end interior design projects, from concept development to final handover, ensuring that design solutions align with client needs, brand identity, and project budgets. This full-time, on-site role is based in Al Qatif and involves collaborating closely with architects, landscape designers, consultants, and contractors to coordinate design details and construction activities. Day-to-day tasks include leading client meetings, developing mood boards and material palettes, producing and reviewing drawings, managing design documentation, and supervising on-site implementation to maintain design integrity and quality standards. The Lead Interior Designer will guide and mentor junior designers, review their work, and ensure that all deliverables meet timelines, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals. The role also includes staying current with design trends, products, and technologies to continually enhance the firm’s design offerings.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong interior design expertise, including space planning, concept development, material selection, and furniture/lighting design.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar BIM software, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software).
• Candidates should possess skills in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, coordination with contractors, and overseeing on-site work.
• Candidates should possess strong client-facing skills, such as clear communication, presentation of design proposals, and ability to translate client needs into practical design solutions.
• Candidates should possess collaboration and leadership capabilities, including mentoring junior team members, providing design direction, and working effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
• Relevant experience leading interior design projects from concept to completion, preferably in commercial, residential, or hospitality sectors.
• Knowledge of local building codes, standards, and sustainability practices, with attention to detail and quality assurance.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
