Job summary

The American International School - Riyadh is seeking a licensed full-time Elementary School Teacher for the 2027-2028 school year. Candidates must meet the minimum criteria and demonstrate a commitment to AIS-R’s mission and core values.

Responsibilities include designing standards-based lessons, maintaining an engaging classroom, and actively participating in AIS-R’s professional growth and cocurricular activities. Excellent English communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and valid teaching certificate (North American or equivalent).
• Certification in subject area and/or grade level is required.
• Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two years full-time K-12 teaching experience.
• Expertise in the subject matter.
• Fluency in English and strong written/spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver lessons aligned with AIS-R standards and curricula.
• Maintain effective classroom control and management.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the community to support student learning.
• Participate in AIS-R professional development and evaluation processes.
• Lead or assist clubs and after-school activities as part of the co-curricular program.
• Engage in ongoing communication with families and document student progress.
