Noon is seeking an IT Support Technician to work closely with the business, fellow technicians, and engineering teams to implement, maintain, and support critical IT infrastructure while providing day-to-day technical support to meet current and future business needs.

The role requires experience with Windows systems, strong English communication, and a strong customer-service mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Experience in MS Windows System Support.
  • Two years technical IT exposure/experience preferred.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Strong customer service and demonstrable history of customer-facing skills.
  • Demonstrable methodical problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Able to keep others informed of information that contributes to performance of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st/2nd line IT support to keep all equipment and infrastructure performing.
  • Participate in site-wide IT projects.
  • Install, maintain and support IT equipment (laptops, telecoms, printers, scanners, thin clients, workstations).
  • Asset and inventory management, including audits and RMAs with suppliers.
  • Imaging and updating workstations and laptops.
  • Support site projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.

As an IT Support Technician, you will work closely with the business, fellow technicians, and engineering teams to implement, maintain, and support critical IT infrastructure while providing day-to-day technical support to meet current and future business needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a 1st / 2nd line support service that ensures all IT equipment and infrastructure is running to its optimum performance and that all departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met on your site.
  • Participate in site-wide projects that support changing business and IT requirements.
  • Installation, maintenance and support of IT equipment including (but not restricted to) laptops, telecoms equipment, printers, scanners, thin clients and workstations. Some cabling work will also be required (after training).
  • Management of imaging workstations and laptops including updates.
  • Providing technical support/input to site and team projects and initiatives.
  • Undertaking ad-hoc requests and tasks as and when required.
  • The management Asset and Inventory including checks / audits in line with global standards and processes including Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process with suppliers.
What you'll need:
  • Experience in MS Windows System Support
  • Two years prior technical (IT) exposure/experience highly favourable, preferably in an operational environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written & verbal). Able to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences.
  • A strong sense of customer service and demonstrable history of excellent customer-facing skills.
  • Demonstrable methodical problem-solving and excellent analytical skills.
  • Able to keep others informed of information that contributes to the performance of the team, department, or company (Team player).
  • An excellent understanding of computers (both hardware and software) and a demonstrated willingness to learn new technology and to train and learn new skills.
