Job summary

Nawras Power Company is seeking an I&C technician to perform planned preventive, predictive, corrective maintenance and emergency repairs on plant I&C instruments and DCS systems in line with quality and EHS standards.

The role includes testing, inspections, and adherence to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007, ISO 27000 and OSHAD-SF guidelines. Training delivery to I&C Trainees is also part of the duties.

Qualifications

• High School or Engineering Diploma required.
• 2 years power and desalination plant experience, or 3–4 years in I&C technician roles.
• Experience reading I&C/electronic prints and drawings; understands control systems.
• Hands-on experience in I&C measurements, troubleshooting techniques, performance tests and safety measures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the I&C corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the plant's I&C instruments.
• Perform preventive maintenance while inspecting and testing on DCS control systems and instruments.
• Maintain a clean workshop and plant environment, following safe work practices and ISO/OHS standards.
• Train and develop I&C Trainees according to Standard Job Instructions and Maintenance procedures.
• Take on additional duties as required by the I&C Foreman, Engineer or Manager.

Job description

To perform planned preventive/predictive, corrective, troubleshooting and emergency maintenance for the asset’s I&C assets in accordance to agreed plans and in line with quality & EHS standards, the asset’s established assets management policies and procedures; to deliver outcomes that effectively meet quantitative and qualitative objectives, the asset’s contractual requirements, and are in compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015; OHSAS 18001:2007; ISO 27000 (cyber-security) and OSHAD-SF latest version, whichever is published & available (current Version 3).

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.Responsible for the I&C corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the plants I&C instruments.

2.Accountable to perform preventive maintenance while conducting inspections and testing on DCS control systems and instruments.

3.Maintains a clean workshop and plant environment, following under safe work practices, and complying with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015; ISO 14001:2015; OHSAS 18001:2007; ISO 27000 (cyber-security) and OSHAD-SF latest version, whichever is published & available (current Version 3).

4.Responsible for the training and development delivery of the the asset’s I&C Trainees according to set SJI’s (Standard Job Instructions) and Maintenance procedures.

5.Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required by the I&C Foreman, Engineer and/or Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Academic & Professional Qualification:

• High School / Engineering Diploma holder

Related Experience

• 2 years power and desalinization plant work experience, or 3 to 4 years of proven working experience in I&C Technician roles.
• Experience handling I&C/electronic prints and drawings, understand control systems.
• Hands-on experience in performing I&C measurements, troubleshooting techniques, performance tests, and safety measures.
