Job summary

ACWA Power seeks an I&C Engineer to plan and supervise maintenance of plant I&C equipment under O&M supervision. You will coordinate preventive and corrective tasks, execute work orders via SAP CMMS, and ensure alignment with annual maintenance plans while maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards.

Role requires 3–5 years of related experience, B.E. in I&C, and strong communication. You will work on-site at the plant and collaborate with maintenance staff and planning engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s engineering degree in I&C or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3–5 years related experience in operation/maintenance of power/plant facilities.
• Experience in I&C engineering within O&M context is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of I&C equipment.
• Execute work orders through SAP CMMS; coordinate with planning engineer.
• Maintain communications and reports on status of maintenance work.
• Contribute to annual maintenance planning and corrective actions.
• Evaluate quotations and select appropriate parts; ensure budget compliance.
• Prepare requisitions for spare parts and ensure spares availability.
• Review new maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Supervise maintenance team and coordinate activities.
• Ensure IMS objectives and programs are implemented and reported.
• Provide on-the-job training and evaluate performance.

Job Summary

Works under the direction of operation and maintenance manager to plan & supervise all preventive and
corrective maintenance, monthly /annual outage and overhauling work activities on plant I & C equipment.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Assigns preventive and corrective maintenance jobs as per the direction of Section Head.
   Supervises and co-ordinates activities of maintenance staff. Maintains records, prepares reports
   and composes correspondence related to work.
2. Executes work order through CMMS (SAP) and co-ordinates with planning engineer for job
   completion and technical matters.
3. Maintain such communications and relations as are necessary to report on the status of matters
   requiring action and to ensure that corrective action is undertaken.
4. Helps Maintenance Manager in executing corrective and planned maintenance with due regard to
   annual scheduled maintenance plan.
5. To perform technical evaluation of quotations received from purchase department and
   recommend appropriate choice.
6. To prepare purchase requisitions for spare parts and consumables ensuring budgetary constraints
   and arrange strategic spares availability to cope up with the maintenance requirements.
7. Review and recommend new maintenance procedures and work instructions.
8. Supervise, direct and co-ordinate the activities of all personnel assigned to his area.
9. To carry out any other duty assigned to him by the management from time to time.
10. Ensure Environmental Aspect-Impact and Hazard Risk Assessment are carried out, controlled and
    updated
11. Implement, monitor and report IMS objectives, Targets and programs
12. Provide necessary resources for effective implementation and sustenance of IMS
13. Report IMS performance to the management periodically
14. Ensure Legal compliance with respect to their scope of activities
15. Ensure identification of root cause for the identified non conformances/ deviations and to
    implement corrective actions/Preventive actions
16. Identify the competency gap for their subordinate personnel and implement necessary actions.
17. Carry out annual performance evaluation of reporting employees
18. Responsible to ensure the compliance to legal requirements, contractual and organizational
    requirements
19. Provide on-the-job training to new employees and evaluate their OJT Performance

1. Identification, documentation and control of hazards in assigned work area
2. Ensure aspects identified are monitored and operational controls are followed
3. Report deviations in Integrated Management System, identify root cause and implement
   corrective and preventive actions
4. Reporting of emergencies and incidents and near misses
5. Effective resource utilization
6. Perform other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

• Educational Desired Bachelor’s engineering degree (B.E) in I & C for four-year
  College or university.
• Preferred

• Minimum Minimum 3 -5 years related experience and training or
  equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferable Have worked in operation and maintenance field ( power,
  RO…etc Plant) as an I&C engineer.

Work Condition

While performing the duties of this position, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical
parts and in outside weather conditions. In high precarious places he may be occasionally exposed to
fumes or airborne particles, toxic or chemicals risk and electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but very loud conditions do exist.
