Job summary

BHIG-Blue Hydrogen Industrial Gases in Saudi Arabia seeks a HYCO Lead Operator to manage day-to-day DCS and field operations of the HYCO facility, ensuring production targets, quality specs, and safety compliance.

You will operate the Steam Methane Reformer based hydrogen plant with CO2 removal, PSA, and membrane units, coordinate with shift teams, and support maintenance activities to sustain reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field.
• Experience in DCS operation and field operation.
• Strong knowledge of process control and safety management.
• English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the HYCO plant (SMR-based hydrogen) and associated units in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner.
• Monitor and control plant performance, SIS and Fire & Gas systems; execute change control and safe operation procedures.
• Lead a shift in absence of the Shift Supervisor and coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams.
• Ensure production targets and environmental regulations are met; maintain documentation and reporting to supervisors.
