Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a motivated GIS I&C Specialist to install, commission, and troubleshoot high voltage GIS systems (PGHV) worldwide. You will lead on-site activities, ensure safety and QA compliance, and coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to meet schedules and quality standards.

Ideal candidates hold an Electrical Engineering degree with 2–5 years GIS experience, knowledge of SF6 handling, and proficiency in MS Project, plus strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 2–5 years of GIS experience preferred.
• Experience with SF6 gas handling and PGHV knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Project advised for scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission high voltage GIS systems at sites.
• Ensure compliance with installation requirements and safety guidelines.
• Prepare and mark up red-line drawings with changes during installation.
• Coordinate with sub-suppliers and project manager to align on schedule.
• Inspect incoming materials for completeness and coordinate handling.
• Issue non-conformance reports for damaged or missing equipment.
• Supervise final installation tests and site documentation.
• Participate in site meetings and coordinate loop-check activities.
• Ensure task execution aligns with company safety and QA policies.
