Job summary

Faena Red Sea in Medina is seeking a seasoned Housekeeping Public Area Supervisor to lead the public area attendants and uphold luxury standards across lobbies, restaurants, restrooms and back-of-house spaces.

You will coach staff, develop schedules, monitor safety, and ensure inventory control while delivering Forbes 5-star service and a flawless guest experience in alignment with Faena's design ethos.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or related field.
• 2+ years in housekeeping in a luxury hotel, with at least 1 year in a supervisory/coordinator role.
• Experience with Forbes or 5-Diamond service standards preferred.
• Familiarity with PMS (Opera) and housekeeping management systems.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene, sanitation and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all housekeeping activities related to public spaces ensuring cleanliness, organization and presentation of guest and staff areas.
• Develop and manage daily task checklists and cleaning schedules for Public Area Attendants.
• Ensure readiness of high-traffic areas during guest arrivals, dining and events.
• Provide on-the-spot coaching and guide team members through daily operations.
• Ensure proper usage, care and storage of equipment, chemicals, and tools with emphasis on safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate and supervise service inspections for outsourced maintenance contracts related to public spaces.
• Maintain updated inventories of cleaning equipment and consumables and ensure timely replenishment.
• Assign cleaning tasks and monitor performance of housekeeping line staff.
• Inspect rooms, hallways, lobbies and public areas for cleanliness and order.
• Conduct training sessions on cleaning methods, equipment usage, and safety procedures.
• Manage stocking and ordering of supplies to ensure availability and budget compliance.
• Resolve guest issues related to cleanliness promptly and professionally.
• Prepare reports on departmental activities, staff performance and resource utilization.
• Supervise and inspect staff to ensure daily assignments are completed.
• Conduct quality inspections to uphold Faena’s cleanliness, presentation and Forbes 5-star standards.
• Assist in developing training programs and onboarding of new team members.
• Monitor linen, amenities and supply inventory to maintain par levels.

JOB OVERVIEW

Housekeeping Public Area Supervisor include and guiding the housekeeping line staff to ensure that guest rooms public spaces and back of house areas are cleaned and maintained according to luxury service standard of Faena Red Sea To lead a team of public area attendants to ensure that lobbies restaurants restrooms and all the common spaces are spotless well maintained and aligned with the elevated design and the luxury standard of Faena Red Sea This role managing staffing inspections and training of line employees The ideal candidate leads by example ensures compliance with brand and regulatory standards and contributes to the delivery of an exceptional guest experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise all housekeeping activities related to public spaces ensuring cleanliness organization and presentation of all guest and staff-accessible areas including lobbies elevators corridors restrooms entrances driveways outlets spa areas back-of-house corridors and service elevators
• Develop and manage daily task checklists and cleaning schedules for Public Area Attendants ensuring full coverage and timely completion of assignments
• Ensure readiness of all high-traffic areas during key guest arrival dining and event periods maintaining a sharp focus on first impressions and high visibility areas
• Provide on-the-spot coaching reinforce brand standards and guide team members through daily operational requirements
• Ensure proper usage care and storage of equipment chemicals and housekeeping tools with particular emphasis on safety and efficiency
• Coordinate and supervise service assessments for outsourced maintenance contracts related to public spaces including pest control marble and wood polishing carpet upholstery shampooing fa ade cleaning and indoor plant care
• Maintain updated inventories of all public area-related cleaning equipment machinery and consumables flag irregularities and ensure timely replenishment
• Assigning cleaning tasks and areas to housekeeping line staff and monitoring their performance
• Inspecting rooms hallways lobbies and public areas for cleanliness and order
• Conducting training sessions and cleaning methods equipment uses and safety procedure
• Managing the stocking and ordering of cleaning supplies to ensure availability and budget compliance
• Resoling any guest issues or complaints related to cleanliness in a timely and efficient manner

• Liaise with Front Office Engineering and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction
• Support department compliance with health and safety regulations
• Manage with lost amp found deep-cleaning projects and VIP arrival preparations
• Respond to guest service requests and manage in-room service recovery with discretion and professionalism

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping operations in a luxury hotel, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or Coordinator roll.
• Experience with Forbes or 5-Diamond service standards preferred.
• Familiarity with PMS (Opera) and housekeeping management systems.
• Good understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards
• Familiarity with housekeeping operations, schedules, and shift planning
• Basic knowledge of inventory control for cleaning supplies and equipment
• Experience in handling guest requests and maintaining service standards in public spaces
• Good communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage)
