Job summary

Initial Facilities Management seeks a Health & Safety Officer to implement and monitor HSE practices across the workplace in Riyadh. You will identify hazards, conduct inspections, and promote safe working practices in line with company policies and regulations.

You will lead inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions, while ensuring PPE use and incident reporting. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential to keep records and support audits.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, HSE, or a related field.
• Relevant HSE certifications are preferred.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily workplace activities to ensure compliance with HSE procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential health and safety hazards.
• Assist in risk assessments and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Ensure employees and contractors follow established safety procedures.
• Monitor the correct use of PPE and safety equipment.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness sessions.
• Report and investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Support emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and emergency drills.
• Communicate safety requirements and observations to supervisors and site management.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining the HSE management system.
• Promote a positive safety culture and encourage employees to report hazards.
• Provide regular updates on safety observations, incidents, and compliance status.
• Support internal and external HSE audits and inspections.
