Job summary

Initial Facilities Management is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Supervisor to oversee and maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices across the workplace. Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, HSE, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a Health & Safety/HSE supervisory role.
• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations, risk assessment, and incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily health and safety activities across the site.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards and implement control measures to reduce risk.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Monitor safe work practices and ensure employees follow safety procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
• Prepare and maintain HSE reports, inspection records, and incident documentation.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training for employees.
• Monitor proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and drills.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions for timely closure.
• Collaborate with supervisors, managers, contractors, and employees to resolve safety issues.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the site's HSE management system.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and encourage hazard reporting.
• Provide regular safety performance updates and recommendations to management.
