Your Role – International, Challenging, and Future-Oriented

• As the Head of Projects, you will lead and manage a team of Project Managers across Siemens’ portfolio, including Switchgear, Protection Control, SAS, and Turnkey Solutions. You will ensure the most effective utilization of your team, overseeing their daily responsibilities, project assignments, and team coordination.
• You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing team utilization, ensuring the team is effectively resourced according to business needs. This includes leading resource management mechanisms to boost productivity and billability of both internal and external resources.
• Take full control of project execution, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and financial performance. You will participate in project review meetings, identifying and taking corrective actions for project deficiencies, and ensuring milestones are met.
• You will provide execution risk and opportunity reports for discussion with leadership, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented to mitigate business risks while optimizing project outcomes.
• Use your experience to continuously refine project delivery practices, improving resource management processes and functions. You will summarize lessons learned from completed projects, provide feedback, and collaborate with management to enhance operational efficiency.
• You will oversee the claim and change order management process, ensuring that changes to the scope of delivery, prices, deadlines, and other contractual agreements are handled in line with Siemens standards.
• Ensure adherence to PM@Siemens guidelines and EHS standards for all site activities, working with Project Managers to maintain operational excellence and safety across all projects.
• Lead reviews with Practice Leadership, resolve conflicts, and drive continuous improvements. Provide strategic insights into project operations, business efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Manage project financials to ensure that revenue realization, project margins, NCC avoidance, and staff productivity are in line with company forecasts and budgets.
• Supervise the staffing of resources across projects, manage external contractors, and oversee the approval of purchase orders for external needs. Ensure that team members receive the necessary technical training and skill updates to meet the demands of current and future projects.

Your Qualifications and Skills

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from a reputable institution.
• 15-20 years of experience managing large-scale, complex projects, especially in Switchgear, Protection Control, SAS, and Turnkey Solutions. A proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget is essential.
• PMP or PM@Siemens certification is required.
• Experience leading diverse teams, managing resource allocation, and ensuring optimal utilization of internal and external resources.
• Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus) with excellent communication skills to engage with leadership, clients, and project teams.
• Experience managing risk and change orders, along with strong analytical skills to oversee project financials, margins, cost control, and performance reporting.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments and navigate ambiguity to drive project success.
