Selected Recruitment Ltd. is partnering with a leading Saudi business to appoint a Health, Safety & Environment leader for a live, multi-site operation.

You will report to the business unit CEO and be the principal HSE adviser to the leadership team. You will own the HSE plan, risk registers and critical controls across terminals, manage lifting operations and dangerous goods, and drive ISO 45001/14001, PTW and MOC processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading an HSE team.
• 12 to 15+ years of progressive HSE experience in maritime, logistics, heavy industry or construction.
• Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; NEBOSH Diploma and/or CSP as alternatives.

Responsabilités

• Oversees HSE plans, risk registers and critical controls across multiple terminals.
• Leads lifting operations, heavy and project cargo interfaces, and dangerous goods handling.
• Ensures ISO 45001/14001 management systems, Permit to Work, Management of Change and audit readiness.
• Leads serious incident investigations and root-cause analysis with verified closure.

SELECTED is working with a leading Saudi business to appoint a Health, Safety & Environment leader for one of its business units.

This is the senior HSE position for a live, multi-site operation. You will report to the business unit CEO, with a functional line into Group QHSSE, and act as the principal HSE adviser to the operating leadership team.

What you will own

• The HSE plan, risk registers and critical controls across multiple terminals
• Lifting operations, heavy and project cargo, mobile equipment, the vessel interface and dangerous goods
• ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems, Permit to Work, Management of Change and audit readiness
• Serious incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective actions to verified closure
• Environmental compliance covering spills, dust, waste, permits and regulatory reporting
• Contractor HSE from prequalification through to performance management
• Leading, building and developing the HSE team across sites

What we need to see

• Proven experience leading an HSE team. This is a leadership appointment, not an advisory one. You should be able to talk through the size and structure of the function you run today, how you recruit and develop people, and how you cover a live operation.
• 12 to 15+ years of progressive HSE experience in maritime, logistics, heavy industry or construction
• A degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Candidates without one will be considered where they hold the NEBOSH International Diploma and/or CSP certification, backed by strong HSE leadership experience
• ISO 45001 and 14001 knowledge, with lead auditor certification an advantage
• Credibility with operations: the ability to influence line managers and contractors, and the confidence to intervene when risk is unacceptable
• Working knowledge of Saudi HSE and environmental regulation, including MHRSD, Civil Defense, NCEC and port requirements
• Someone based in or willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia
