Job summary

Doka is seeking a Head of Engineering in Saudi Arabia to lead the Engineering and Product Management functions. You will shape the country engineering strategy, manage a high-performance team, and ensure the delivery of safe, cost-efficient formwork solutions for demanding projects.

You will drive BIM adoption, coordinate with regional engineering to align standards, and partner with the Country Manager on strategic decisions while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong project profitability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and 10+ years in engineering roles, preferably in formwork/construction.
• Strong knowledge of formwork systems, construction methods and project execution.
• Understanding of costing, contracts and project profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Engineering department, including workforce planning, structure, and performance management.
• Define and drive engineering strategies aligned with country business objectives.
• Ensure delivery of efficient, safe, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
• Monitor and drive departmental KPIs (design efficiency, project execution, resource utilization).
• Drive adoption of BIM for formwork design to improve efficiency, coordination, and reduce rework.
• Strengthen engineering capabilities in high-rise and complex projects, positioning the organization as a leading solution provider.
• Act as a key business partner to the Country Manager on strategic and operational decisions.
• Support project costing, technical-commercial proposals, and risk assessment.
• Drive engineering contributions towards improving project margins and overall business performance.
• Ensure engineering solutions are aligned with commercial and contractual requirements.
• Support execution of product strategy in alignment with regional direction and market needs.
• Promote and enforce strong project management practices across the Engineering function.
• Coordinate group leaders and engineering activities across projects for alignment and timely delivery.
• Provide technical leadership for complex projects, claims, and site challenges.
• Ensure quality assurance standards and regulatory compliance for local production and engineering deliverables.
• Manage Engineering department budget and cost control, and optimize resource allocation.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Operations, and Regional teams.
• Maintain visibility on site activities and capture feedback to improve engineering solutions.
• Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement including new technologies.
